Description
Those of you that really have a fear of flying might want to look away from this one.
This is technically what happened and what remained after a Boeing 737 of Scandinavian origin had an unfriendly encounter with a flock of seagulls at an airport in northern Norway. By our language this is called a bird strike.
These blades are made of titanium and should be able to take quite a beating so you can imagine the forces involved here.
Don't worry though, the plane landed safely and noone was hurt except the birds and the engine.
Now it's up to me and my fellow collegues to fix it.
Did I mention that I love my job sometimes?
