Ever since my first visit to Japan 5 years ago I have always been fascinated by the castles that country have been able to produce.
Previously I have visited Himeji, Hiroshima and Hirado castle, but finally I had the chance to see Osaka castle as well. Or Osaka-jo as is its original name.
Situated only a short train ride from Osaka/Umeda station there is no excuse for not seeing this castle. But if you really want to see it I advice you to visit after dark or during the sunset I did here.
I spent around an hour and more that evening just getting different light condition photos of the castle.
This is however not the original castle, but a concrete reproduction from modern times.
The original has burned down atleast once.
