Back with more Sardinia photos.
It struck me now as I was reading my first ever critique on dA, and the weird thing was that the critique had nothing to do with the thought that struck me, why on earth have I ended up calling my photos a simple filename followed by a number?
Time to change that...
One thing mentioned in the critique though is my use of frames. I have a nasty tendency of using the same style for ages. So I'll ask you here and I'll try to make a poll as well: What style of frame should I use?

Enough of that.

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Lens: Sigma 18-200mm DC OS
Filter: Kenko 72mm Protection
Location: Somewhere outside Olbia, Sardinia, Italy. View towards Tavolara Island.

Beautiful photo! I love those sunrays, and that's one hell of a perfect cloud xD

Thank you!

It's been a while since I shot that photo, but I remember that day to be very bright and with only a light layer of clouds at first.
I believe this was the only dominant cloud in the sky at that particular hour. That combined with the other much higher and thin layer of clouds spread the light to create a really burning impression on the photo that turned into this once the toning effects were applied.
Still, the effect amazes me to this day as I have never been able to replicate it anywhere.

Thanks for the interest!

I can imagine it must have brilliant to see this in real, and the effect is great - I love that the cloud is still dark, gives it a very sinister yet serene feel.

Thanks.

The light and the clouds that day made the difference. The location in itself wasn't really that interesting, but a combination worked wonders.
I might actually be going back here with the same purpose as before, working. But nothing is decided yet, however I would hope I could go back for more and better photos of the same location.

Sorry about the really, REALLY late reply, I've been in China the past three weeks...
If you still want to use it then please do so.
Please give me a mailaddress and I'll send it to you, I prefer not to open photos on this site for download.
