Bamboo forest path 1

More memories and experiences from Japan.
First day of out stay in Kyoto my group of travelling Norwegians and I decided to head for the bamboo forest in north western Kyoto.
The forest is little else than a path in the forest surrounded by giant bamboo trunks, but it is an experience I would advice anyone to take.
It's just such a quiet location. The sounds of the city being stopped by the 8-10 meter tall bamboo with only the occasional passing train to spoil the tranquility.

This is by far the most soothing and quiet experience I had during this trip, and an experience I would gladly reenact next time I go to Kyoto.

Sorry about the ghosting of the people. Seems to be impossible to have poeple stand still...
