A morning in Shinjuku 09 by dragonslayero A morning in Shinjuku 09 by dragonslayero
Just the sheer thought of looking back in a photostock seems to give me new ideas.
This is a photo I shot during one of my now well known morning walks in Shinjuku, Tokyo when I visited Japan in November 2008.

It was my last day in Tokyo and I just happened by chance to find this shrine/temple not far from my hotel.
I am normally not a very spiritual person, but when seing and visiting a plce of such aestetic beauty as this gives me incredible peace at mind.
I'm sorry about the head on composition, but for this photo I thought it was appropriate.

The photo is an HDR created from 3 photos shot using the AEB program of my EOS40D.
Photos have been merged using PSCS3 and tonemapped using photomatix.

Aaaaah! Blasphemy!
Noone can ever watch too much anime!
Trust me, nothing bad comes of it, I can testament to that. It was my initial interest in animation that made me go to Japan in the first place. Though it did take 5 years from my first memorable encounter with anime until I actually got to go to Japan.
Keep up your vieweing, it can bring you many places!

And yes, after I had chewed on the looks of the photo for a while I actually liked it quite well myself. The balance between the structures on one side combined with the bit of sky in the other side is what makes me like it.

Thank you for the interest! :D

Noone is stopping you, it's just a matter of having enough money to spend to get to the place. As for my own part I won't be able to go back until next year, but I am saving already so the order should be in order my this time next year!
I'm opening up for as many people as possible so I will propably go out with an open invite by the time it's getting close.

An yes, anime does insipre me! :)

Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked the photo.
I must say I feel the same about everything Japanese, just from my first visit and when I got my first glimpse of a temple, a regular house and not least the people I fell in love with the place.
I've been there twice now and you can rest assured I am sure to go back more than once!

Thanks for the comment.
